Standing at the foot of Mount Wellington, the city of Hobart (193
300 inhabitants and one of the oldest city in Australia) is on the Antarctic Ocean facing
the South Pole. The capital city of Tasmania, was founded in 1804. The island is proud of its history and reminders of
the convict days still exist in roads, bridges and public buildings. It is a prosperous
city thanks to its harbour where sailings boats and whalers mix together.
The only place in Australia with a temperate climate -snowy winters,
flaming autumns and lovely springs and summers.
Every year in december, Hobart is the finishing lines of the
prestigious Sydney-Hobart race. |
