Darwin, Northern Territory capital city, 75900 inhabitants, is an adventure more than a town. Founded in 1869 to settle the vast, empty Noth Australian desert, it's mainly a large airforce base around the biggest airfield in the country.

A tropical climate alternating suffocating heats in the dry season with torrential Monsoon rains. The"Australian Singapour" was completly destroyed by Tracy 1974.
